Nurturing Our New Generation of ECE Teachers – Monthly 3-Part Series
Third Tuesday, April 15th, May 20th, June 17th 2025 12:30 – 2:00PM Mtn time.
Designed for ECE lead teachers and directors, this 3-part workshop dives into generational attitudes and shifting ideology in the ECE workforce today. We will analyze mounting research on Gen Z and apply what we know to current childcare center cultures. Using reflection and deep discussion, we unpack our current toolbox to identify unproductive biases and attitudes that thwart our efforts to keep good teachers. We will re-pack our management toolbox full of specific strategies related to new research and work habits, that will motivate entire teams and cultivate a culture of inquiry, compassion, and kindness.
Goals of this series:
- Identify what ideologies, attitudes, and cultures exist in childcare centers that might be contributing to high turnover.
- Understand what is needed to nurture and inspire Gen Z so they can blossom and stay in the ECE field.
- List specific strategies that are required in ECE to cultivate new, passionate leaders that stay committed to the field.
- Develop a personalized plan to meet the needs of new ECE teachers in your center.
