Teaching Problem-Solving Skills to Toddlers and Beyond

In this 3-part series, we explore how to set up age-appropriate problem-solving classroom management systems.  Classrooms and learning communities become more organized and there is less arguing as children begin to feel resourceful and capable of solving problems or going for help.  We will practice how to teach the problem-solving process in your classroom.  As we teach the littlest ones how to solve all types of problems, every year thereafter children bloom into industrious and curious participants!   Throughout the training, we will discuss scenarios and put together problem-solving kits to use with children.

• Session Two:  Building Strategies for Day-to-Day Problem-Solving
• Session Three:  Guiding Specific Problem-Solving Behaviors – Systems and Strategies

Activities include: Inter-active community discussion, scenarios with discussion, video examples, additional reading and resources.
