    Facilitated by Shannon Greeley, MA, this workshop investigates the processing of our eight senses (yes, eight!) and their role in early learning and development.  When fully understood, teachers can assemble a variety of sensory processing activities as a toolbox to reach all learners, especially those that need to move constantly.  Teachers can adjust current curriculum and teaching strategies to include more physical activities, even when space and time is limited.  See below for more details

    Guiding Behaviors in ECE Settings – Individual Monthly Sessions

    Each workshop is independent and focuses on important guidance topics relevant to Early Childhood Educators currently working with children.  Each topic is explored through lecture, discussion, videos, activities, and small group work.  Take away lots of tools and strategies to help manage individual children and groups while connecting with peers!

Gen Z ECE Workforce Trends and Attitudes – Analyze new research on the big shift in attitudes, needs, and work habits of Gen Z.  Dive into what motivates and turns off Gen Z employees, particularly teachers.  Thoughtfully identify your biases and barriers to connecting with younger teachers with a goal of identifying outdated policies and practices that thwart recruitment and retention efforts.
    •  Tuesday, May 20th 12:30 – 2PM. Aligning our Values, Beliefs, and Attitudes –  Unpack your current workforce  values, beliefs, and attitudes that are embedded in your program culture that may be outdated or ineffective.  Dive into recruitment and retention practices and policies, and brainstorm new ideas and approaches that better align with Gen Z’s needs.
    •  Tuesday, June 17th 12:30 – 2PM  Making the Shift – Make a plan to implement small changes in outdated or misaligned management practices and center policies at your program.  Create new expectations and strategies that support the needs of Gen Z. And most importantly, strive to shift your personal and managerial mindset to accommodate and welcome our new generation of teachers.
