This series designed for teachers and parents of children ages two to eight years.  Through an engineering lens, we explore how to teach problem-solving skills using a step-by-step process that guides children and adults to creative solutions to life’s everyday problems.  We will create tangible tools to teach children to trust in themselves and the problem-solving process, which builds confidence and resilience.  Facilitated by Shannon Greeley, MA

Facilitated by Shannon Greeley, MA, this series designed for teachers of children ages two to eight, learn how to implement engineering-based, problem-solving activities and solution-oriented guidance strategies that support young children’s brain development. Assemble a step-by-step problem-solving kit and learn specific questioning skills to build resilience and confidence in children and in yourself. Throughout the training, you will practice and reflect on the Three Empowerment Teaching Strategies for successful problem-solving while connecting with peers to discover new solutions to current curriculum and/or behavioral problems.

Teaching teams are encouraged to attend together.  Learning activities include: Inter-active community discussion, scenarios with discussion, video examples, additional reading and resources.  In person will have active, hands-on engineering play to further explore the problem-solving process.  Online training links are emails separately prior to the first session.
